I: What do you think about Kőszeg?
It is a beautiful little town with really nice people and good food, so I am very happy to be here.
I: Did you have any emotional moments, like maybe embarrassing or sad?
Actually, yes there was a very sad moment for all of the icelanders. When we went to the House of Terror in Budapest, we were very saddened when we realised that something so horrible could happen to a whole nation, to so many nations. We come from a country that has no army, no military and we cannot understand how people can treat other people like that. We became really, really sad.
I:Do you have a funny story with students?
Yes, I do. I teach english and I teach „To kill a mockingbird”. One of my students would always read it as „How to kill a mockingbird”
I: Is there anything you liked more in Hungary more than in your own country, something that you would want to take back home.
I always take the experience, that’s what I like. When I come back home I start reflecting and telling my family and colleagues, I usually say things like ”They do this that way, I like that about Hungary and so on.” I generally like meetings like this one, because you always learn about people and other cultures.
