My name is Joshua, and I’m from Croatia. I signed up for the SWIM Erasmus project as soon as I heard about it and I’ve got to say, I’ve enjoyed it even more than I expected to. In the six days I’ve been here, I’ve made more friends from different countries and I’m hoping I can keep in touch with them even after the project is over.

My host, Kevin, is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. He’s always trying to make sure that I’m having fun and that I’m comfortable, and I admire that about him and the rest of his family.

Winters in Koszeg are much colder than winters in Rovinj (where I come from), and that took some getting used to. Setting that aside, from what I’ve seen Hungary’s beautiful. During most of our walk around Budapest I was admiring the architecture and in the back of my mind thinking “How long did it take them to build this?”

I don’t know what the future holds, but I hope that for me it has many more Erasmus projects. My time spent here definitely won’t be forgotten, and will surely be one of my happiest memories.
